I’m having this issue as well! I just bought a second Apple Watch!
Since I added it configured it, my strain score changes:
- 74 when I clear the cache or if I close the app and open again
- 64 when I switch to a different app (not closed) and when I go back and refresh
I believe that the 74 are the correct one

Alberto Cerrone: Thanks for reporting. Can you scroll down and share with me the list of your activities for today? Does the activity list changing after each clear cache?
Do you have any custom data sources priority set in settings (Settings -> Data Sources)the list of your activities for today with me?

It seems to stay the same.
I don’t have custom priority data sources. But if I select on them, I can see Alberto’s Apple Watch repeated 3 times
Alberto Cerrone
Oh ok I guess that the multiple Apple Watches are the one that I had over the past years
Alberto Cerrone
Grey ok I found that if I use again my old Apple watch, this behaviour stop and it shows me just 75% strain.
So yes the bug appears when I use the new watch
Edit: Never mind! It seems to be having the same behaviour
Another thing that I just noticed is with the Apple Watch app.
Before buying the new watch, I have created a new strength workout. This workout is available on the Apple Watch only when the value is 75% strain.
But when the strain is at 64% (the one that I believe to be wrong) that workout isn’t available on the watch (but is available on the mobile app)
Maybe the watch is picking up an old value from earlier?

Another update 😅 sorry about that!
This morning I’m having the same issue as Barbara Seiberl-Stark.
The sleep percentage moves between 75% and 76%.
I can’t see any difference in the trends
Grey
Alberto Cerrone: When you set data sources to default priority, do the scores still change between clearing caches?
Can you go to Settings -> iCloud Sync -> and let me know if your app is up to date?
Alberto Cerrone
Grey
Yes they change
And yes the app is up to date!
Alberto Cerrone
Grey yes I can confirm that when during the day, I use multiple watches, this behaviour appear
Grey
Alberto Cerrone: Ok got it. To confirm, on days you where only 1 watch, this issue doesn't happen?
Alberto Cerrone
Grey it seems like!
Grey
Alberto Cerrone: Got it. It seems like it's related to switching devices midday. Thank you for confirming.
I will look into this.

Barbara Seiberl-Stark

Barbara Seiberl-Stark: That shouldn't happen. Let me take a look at this for you. To help me figure out what's going on, can you provide the following context:
- Do you have a custom priority set in Data Sources (Settings -> Data Sources)?
- What device do you use to record your data in Apple Health?
- It seems like your Sleep is the one that is changing (which is also causing Recovery to change). Can you share a screenshot of your sleep before and after the clear cache? I want to see how sleep differs. It should look like the screenshot below.
