Superset app should work without internet
complete

I regularly go to work out in a place with poor internet connectivity. When I open Superset, it gets stuck on the launch screen (left screenshot). After 60 seconds, the log-in screen appears (right screenshot).
I guess the app is trying to connect to the internet to check the subscription status for the user, but without internet is reverts to the log-in state?
Unfortunately, this design flaw is kind of a big deal now that workout tracking feature will be released soon. I will want to use the app if there is no internet (e.g., in the basement gym of my apartment building).
Is this easy to fix?

I'm able to use Superset offline successfully as of built 739. Thanks! 🥳

Grey, I'm sorry to report that recently this issue has been affecting me again, although with slightly different behavior: the app does eventually load, but gets stuck on the launch screen for 90 seconds (previously, it would go to the log-in screen after the launch screen delay).
- When in a remote area or turn on Airplane Mode
- Cold-launch Superset
- Launch screen appears and stays there for exactly 90 seconds
- Superset does eventually open, after 90 seconds

Hi! I just wanted to input that I had no service this past week as I was abroad and the app would not get past the “log in” screen either

Hi Quinn Comendant, thanks for reporting. The app should work even if there's no internet connection. I think in this scenario, it seems like you have poor internet connection and that could be an edge case.
I'll get a fix in asap.

Grey You can reproduce the issue just by turning on airplane mode.

Quinn Comendant: Hmm strange, airplane mode still allows me to access the app, but I think I know the bug that's causing this issue for you
Quinn Comendant
Grey You might need to force-quit the app first so it runs from a cold start. Airplane mode consistently reproduces the problem for me. If I turn off airplane mode during those 60 seconds when the splash screen is displayed, the moment it gets internet it immediately goes to the Home screen.
